Well, last week I posted offering a free copy of The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings – and today I am announcing a winner!
I had to REALLY dig deep for this one … joking, there was only one person who commented, so Darlin’ Rae wins! Yay! π I have sent an email with the code. I really enjoy her site, she just got married and her posts are loads of fun – check it out!

Hi, i’m not a video game fan at all. Sorry.
Do you have a hard time getting people to enter contests or do surveys? I do. My old blog had over 500 followers and I had less than 20 answer a survey. Maybe a 4% response rate is good. I’m not a professional or marketer, so this seemed low to me.
I have no idea, really – I know that here on this blog anything music or game-related I post might as well be coated in poison because it repels readers! haha
I’ve had ‘mommy blogger’ friends whose sites seem to generate traffic solely on giveaways and coupons … but anything BUT those things get no traffic.
Like anything I guess it is about figuring out what works. I mean, some of my most read posts have very few comments, whereas some others have almost a 50% comment-to-read ratio. Hard to guess!
I know. The most popular running sites are all shoe reviews. And it seems like they have that area pretty well covered, not much I can add.
People seem to like reading about my races, but I think the audience is pretty much limited to my friends.
I don’t need 10,000 but a growing audience and more interaction would make the experience more rewarding.
And yeah, I can’t believe the traffic that some of these sites get.
This takes me back to my days playing my bro on World of Warcraft (old school) and also Starcraft. I was into the Sims. HELLO architecture and interior design! And also Indiana Jones and horse riding games. I was amazing. just saying π
But now my brother wins at that because he also designs and programs games. There you go.
I guess it is long enough to call WoW ‘old school’ π haha
I’ve been a gamer since the Apple ][+ was the latest and greatest, why should I ever stop ? π
I have zero talent when it comes to video games. I have tried in the past but it was never successful. My character would fall off a cliff or I would crash a car into a wall (did that in real life too) or something like that. I did own a Wii for awhile but I just gave it to a coworker for his kids. I will admit that when Skyrim came out I was almost tempted to buy it based on everything I heard but never did.
haha – I got ‘Need for Speed Most Wanted’ which was a Sony giveaway this week for the Playstation Vita (portable), and I was trying to drive in races and was reminded of bad I am at those games π Oh well, I have fun …
My video game talent doesn’t extend past Tetris or Snood. I used to love Sonic and Mario Bros too. Robyn is a huge gamer, he used to play WOW for hours when we first met and plays a lot of what I think is called first player games. I’d rather read, so when he plays games, I will read a book, its a good compromise π
Yeah, Lisa has no interest in games – and it is funny that our ‘mini me’s’ are similar – Danny is a gamer, Chris is not π
