I found this in the July issue of O magazine. Lee Ann Yanni was a spectator at the 2013 Boston Marathon who ran the race this April.

I think her words apply to the wounds that cannot be seen as well.

  1. Love that you shared this! Maybe this us while I’ll never be an appropriate girl again, but if am so proud of my running wounds and scars. I show anyone I think won’t be completely disgusted. It’s also probably why I shouldn’t start cycling seriously.
